Docking Styles - Moving Windows in BibleSpeak
Note:
In BibleSpeak 3.06
the Bible,
Commentary, Dictionary, Word Study, Book or Topic, and Task Pane windows are
all initially displayed in default locations and are no longer hidden behind
tabs or allowed to float or be "docked" to other locations. If you want to
float and dock BibleSpeak windows to other locations, you can select "Docking
Styles" from the "Tools" menu and then select "Enable Docking".
However, the flexibility of being able to float and move BibleSpeak windows
to other locations makes it possible for you to create undesirable and
confusing layouts. To restore BibleSpeak windows to their default locations,
select "Restore Default Settings" from the "Help" menu and
then exit and restart BibleSpeak.
Commentary, Dictionary, Bible, Word Study
and Browser windows can all be repositioned on the screen. For example, you
may want to move the Dictionary window from the right side of the screen,
and make it a tabbed window with the Commentary window at the top of the
screen.
Windows can be “docked” or
“repositioned” on the screen by clicking the mouse on the caption area of
the window and dragging it to a new location. Windows with “Tabs” can also
be also be repositioned by clicking on the window’s tab and dragging the
window to a new location. While dragging the window, feedback is given on
the possible new locations for the window. Remove your finger from the mouse
button to “drop” it into its new location. There are two styles of feedback.
Normal
An outline of the window displayed as it is dragged around the
screen. While dragging the window, position the mouse cursor near the border
of a window or the screen to which you wish the window to be repositioned.
Release the mouse button to drop the window into the new location.
Enhanced
The actual window, not just an outline of the
window, is displayed as it is dragged around the screen. In addition, a set
of arrow shaped “markers” is displayed to indicate where the window
can be repositioned. The markers are of two types.
Screen Border Markers.
These
markers appear at the top, bottom, left and right borders of the BibleSpeak
application. Position the mouse cursor over one of these markers, and then
release the mouse button, to dock the window to the corresponding edge of
BibleSpeak.

Window Border Markers.
When the mouse is dragged over another “target” window, a
“circle” of four markers appears inside the target window. Position the
mouse cursor over one of the outside markers of the circle, then release the
mouse button, to dock the dragged window to the corresponding edge of the
target window.

If the dragged window can be docked as a “tabbed” window, a fifth, circle
shaped marker,
,
appears inside (or in the middle), of the “circle” of four markers.
Position the mouse cursor over this inside marker, then release the
mouse button, to dock the dragged window as a tabbed window with the
corresponding target window
Customize
Displays the
Customize dialog. Use this dialog to customize
BibleSpeak menus, toolbars, and other options. Detailed information on the
Customize dialog is not provided here, but it
is similar to Customize dialogs found in
Microsoft Office applications.
