The Bible Speaks!

BibleSpeak can actually “Speak” verses from any supported Bible translation. With built in “Text to Speech” technology you can hear the Bible read to you out loud!

Text can be spoken from any of the BibleSpeak windows, not just Bible windows. This makes it possible, for example, to compose a Bible talk in BibleSpeak’s built in Editor and then listen to it before you present it to your audience!

Many Voices Supported

BibleSpeak is able to speak using TTS (“Text to Speech”) voices installed with BibleSpeak or already installed on your computer. BibleSpeak supports the most recent (SAPI5) compliant and best sounding text-to-speech voices available, such as “Natural Voices” from AT&T, and voices from NeoSpeech. These voices are more natural sounding than many of the older (SAPI4) voices from Microsoft and others. BibleSpeak does not directly sell these new voices, but you can purchase them from the www.NextUp.com web site.

 Speak Text “Out Loud” or “To a File”

Selecting Speak from the Bible menu or the Bible Window toolbar, displays the “Speak Text” dialog that allows you to speak text either “Out Loud” or “To a File”. You can select which voice to use when speaking text, as well as the file type and format used when speaking text to a file.

Create Your Own “Audio Bibles”

Bible text can now be spoken and saved to a file for listening at a later time. This feature can be used to create your own “Audio Bibles”. Select the Speak button on the Bible Window toolbar to speak all the displayed verses to an MP3 file, or one of the many other popular file formats supported.

Feedback when entering Bible citations

When you enter Bible citations to be displayed, voice feedback is provided to make sure that your typing and mouse clicks are accurate.

Tip of the Day and Information Messages

The Tip of the Day and other information messages can be spoken out loud as well as displayed.

Daily Scriptures

The Daily Scripture feature of BibleSpeak displays, and can also speak, one or more scriptures throughout the day for your reflection and meditation.
